Hailing from Winsford, Cheshire in the North West of England, Current Affairs are a quintet indie rock outfit, with a collective of musicians all stemming from a diverse range of musical backgrounds, influences and playing styles.

After undergoing numerous personell changes and having weathered out the COVID pandemic, Current Affairs have now found a strong foundation of members and built up an eclectic array of songs, blending aspects of fast, punchy indie rock with psychedelic tones to more slowed down, thoughtful, moving pieces, drawing from other influences in blues, funk & jazz.

From this, the band have continually built upon this melting pot of sounds, by progressively enhancing their live performances, for which have received numerous appraise and continue to go from strength to strength.
OUR DEBUT SINGLE
On 29th April 2023 we released our debut single "Tell Me", which was also the first track written by the band. Drawing from influences such as Mac Demarco & The Coral, the track runs upon an uplifting, feel-good rhythm, backed up by energetic, uptempo drums and a dynamically progressive bassline to drive the song home.
